With the new Callaway Super Hybrid out on the market now, I had to test this club out to see if it lived up to the hype it was receiving. I figured since I hit quite a few shots off the tee with my fairway wood and hybrids, I would grab the 2 hybrid which is listed at 17 degrees. As a low handicap golfer, the larger profile and wider club head isn't exactly what I'm looking for, but the overall appearance was impressive with the new carbon fiber crown. I must say this club had me sold after the first swing. Not only did this club look similar to a fairway wood, (which would be perfect for a golfer wanting a fairway metal with a thinner frame), but this club also performed like a fairway wood. I was getting incredible distance with the 2 hybrid, yet the memorable statistic was shot dispersion. I know this is a club that is selling forgiveness, but even my off centered shots and mishits were close in comparison to the flush hits down the center. This Super Hybrid is one of those clubs that can be an all around game changer for any golfer.
