Ping G425 LST Fairway Wood

A smaller head and the placement of a tungsten weight position the CG to reduce spin with a flatter, lower-launching trajectory. Two PING innovations, Spinsistency™ and Facewrap™, create more speed and consistent spin, especially low on the face, for added distance to carry trouble and hit more greens. Available in 3W.

Technology

  • Easy Adjustability: Trajectory Tuning 2.0 utilizes a lightweight, aerodynamic hosel sleeve that provides eight positions to customize your trajectory for maximum distance and accuracy.

  • Maraging Steel Facewrap™: Thinner, high-strength steel wraps into the crown and sole to increase flexing for faster speeds that result in greater distance and high-launching shots

  • Smart Grips: Arccos Caddie Smart Grips are standard. An embedded sensor automatically records and analyzes every shot when paired with the Arccos Caddie app.

  • Spinsistency: A complex face curvature modifies the roll profile, mainly low on the face where loft decreases, to bring more consistent spin performance and increase ball speed for added distance.

  • Tungsten Weighting: A high-density tungsten sole weight is strategically positioned to increase the MOI for added forgiveness.

  • Alignment Guide: On the crown, a new 3-dot alignment feature provides golfers a visual cue to address the ball to best match their eye.

  • Trajectory Tuning Chart: Trajectory Tuning 2.0 in the G410 utilizes a lightweight, aerodynamic hosel sleeve that provides eight positions for influencing ball flight through loft (±1.5°) and lie adjustments, including up to 3° flatter than standard.
  • Stock Shaft: The PING Alta CB Slate is our proprietary, lightweight shaft custom-engineered to deliver high launch with stability and a consistent feel.

  • Aftermarket shafts: Aldila Rogue® White delivers smooth, stable feel and low spin on a mid-low to mid-high trajectory. Tensei™ Raw Orange 75 is mid trajectory, low spin, and counter-balanced for stability, control.

Notes

  • Lie angle is an average of the five adjustable loft positions indicated on the hosel.
  • Swingweights with Alta CB 65 Slate SR & R flexes are 1 point lower than standard.
  • Swingweights with Tour 65 R and Tour 75 R flexes are 1 point lower than standard.
  • These are design specifications that may vary due to manufacturing tolerances.
  • Available in left- and right-handed models.

Shafts

Maximizing your distance and accuracy on long shots from the fairway is accomplished by matching the correct shaft flex for your swing. The goal is to achieve the correct trajectory with the fairway wood, which maximizes distance with the longer woods and minimizes roll with the shorter woods.

Generally, the same shaft type and flex as your driver will produce the optimal trajectory in fairway woods, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type and/or flex in their fairway woods since they are ground-impact clubs and may perform differently for some players.

We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.
